Collegiate Behavioral Health Associates [Marketing, Design, Copywriting]

In March 2022, I was offered the opportunity that was perhaps one of the most ambitious roles I have tackled to date as Director of Marketing at Collegiate Behavioral Health Associates. I still reflect back to the first day I had my interview with the owner of this start-up company. The decision may have leaned differently had it not been for the core concept behind this company: providing mental health care for student-athletes across the country. Not as an optional add-on, but as a mandate just like any other physical health exam due to its necessity.

The company only had a logo, a bare bones website and a mild brochure. A lot of work was needed. What I believe that is necessary in every company, or project or group or whichever are systems. Systems are needed to ensure the long-term success of anything. Without it, processes change because humans are naturally inconsistent.

I implemented automated email campaigns that personally catered to our ever-growing email list of 15,000 recipients. Additionally, I used automated software to publish scheduled social media posts, every graphic and caption created by me using Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word and ChatGPT for quicker spelling/grammar revisions. Internal collateral was also created not only for leadership use, but also to highlight what the company's values and functions were.

There's a lot to say since I had contributed and worked on so many different assets of the company, aside from what was briefly mentioned before. A Program Overview, supplementary flyers for our clients, presentations used on a conference level, and a revamped website. I helped build the company to acquire over 50 clients throughout my tenure. CBHA also reached a state where it was able to be pitched to more investors who were willing invest into the company in exchange for equity (I also helped with creating presentations and Q&A outlines for the investors). For the work that was accomplished, I'm very proud to be a part of it and share some of what we created with you.
